Yesterday I went and got a Septum piercing done in Summerside because I live up west and wasn't going to be in Charlottetown in a while, everything went fine, but i'm pretty sure it's crooked. She said it was straight, but my nostrils are uneven. But i find the ring looks crooked and on one side it is pressing up against my nostril. Is there anyway that it could be straightened, because she said there was only a certain spot it could be placed? I don't know what to do, i love it, but i don't like it crooked! Any advise at all would help!
thanks

Hey Jen, i'm sorry to hear about your crooked piercing, that sucks man! if you just got it done yesterday, then the swelling might make it look a little off, so maybe wait untill the swelling goes down untill you make a final desision about what to do, the only way you can make it straight is to repierce it. maybe after the swelling goes down go back to your piercer and talk to her/him, they might be able to work out a deal for you! anyways talk to you latta Amy

Hey Amy! Just found out you were piercing now! That's super cause i am looking to get a couple more done. I'm wondering if you can do one below the eyebrow... the anti eyebrows i've seen are not exactly the placement that i want, more of along my temple... Remember how we got our first piercing together? Talk to you soon, Vanessa

Hey, I was wondering if you do cheek piercings, and how much it would run me to get both of my cheeks done. I'm also wondering what the largest gauge you pierce at is. Thanks.

yeah i'll do your cheeks no problem! 50$ each then tax so it will come to 53.00 a cheek! come on in anytime between 4-8 and we'll do it up for you! as for the largest gague i pierce at, i have 6g needles, anything bigger would have to be dermal punched. and it depends on the area in question too! hope to see you soon!

Hey, I was wondering how much it would cost to get my nose pierced(my nostril), and I was also wondering how long it takes to heal, and what kind of aftercare is needed. Thanks!

There are many factors that can affect the time it takes for a piercing to heal such as stress, diet, physical and personal health, clothing and of course how it is cared for. Remember to clean your piercing for the entire healing time and leave it alone when not cleaning it! here is a estamate chart piercings total healing time, it is only a estamate! your piecing may heal in more or less time. Ear lobe 6-8 weeks Ear cartilage 6-9 months Nostril 6-8 weeks Septum 6-8 weeks Navel 6-9 months Nipple 3-9 months Lip 6-8 weeks Eyebrow 3-6 months Tongue 6-8 weeks Clitoral hood 6-8 weeks Inner labia 4-6 weeks

Amy do you do dermal anchoring? I've been told that it might be a better idea to get dermal anchors instead of the crows feet piercing to get the look i want. What do you think? If not would you use a surface bar in a crows feet piercing?

V, no i don't do dermal ancoring, thats more or a medical procedure than a piercing, i'm hoping to get into that in the future, as well as 3D art! but right now i don't think anywhere in the maritimes does that, its recomended that you get general anistetic for the procedure too, and i don't have a RN that would come in to administer that! as for surface piercings on a crows foot, yes that is the ideal jewellery for the piercing i will do it, but you have to understand it will be very noticeable that it is a surface piercing as the bar will show, not just the two pretty balls! and it will cost 70 insted of 50. i'm sure talking about this your refering to migration problems! migration is always a risk you will have to take with ANY surface piercing weather its done with a surface to surface or a curved 16 g (eyebrow barbell) but come in anytime and we can talk about the do's and don'ts, and find a placement that you will love and be happy with!

Why would you even suggest doing cheeks with a 6g needle or even dermal punching for that matter? Piercing with a needle that size would cause undue trauma to the skin and muscles. Dermal punching any facial piercing apart from nostrils, the septum, ears, and cartilage should be out of the question. You'd be removing a significant chunk of skin and muscle and causing more bleeding than you should. Unnecessary damage for shock value and cool points. The tissue in your mouth heals quickly, but there's quite a difference between a 14g needle puncture and a 6g needle or even removing a piece of skin and muscle with a punch. Even standard gauge cheek piercings are known to swell significantly and ooze(even after healing) so I can imagine what a larger puncture or removing tissue will do. As for "depending on the area in question" There's not a vast number of options for this piercing to be placed. The only muscle that should be punctured in a cheek piercing is the buccinator which sits behind the orbicularis oris(the muscle that goes around your lips). The masseter should never be pierced/punched as it plays a significant role in jaw movement and facial expressions. Here's a diagram: Not trying to be a dick, just pointing out something you've written here that I think most people who've done some research would question. In fact it's important for anyone considering a piercing, especially the more unusual ones to research the procedure and the risks before getting something done. I'd feel more comfortable making an educated decision about a piercing than paying 100$ to get butchered.

When I asked this question, I just meant what gauge in general, for say, septum, or ears or something. It seems like she answered it explaining the cheeks first, and then talking about the gauge that she will do a new piercing at. I could be wrong, but I assume that is.
