Hello, I am looking for information concerning corset piercings. I am considering getting one done later on this year for a special occasion, but would I like to get more information on them first. I am not looking for anything permanent, as I am aware that they reject and scar like crazy. First and most importantly, would you be willing to do one? If yes, I am wondering what the price range would be like, scarring afterwards, and anything else I should know and consider.
Thank you in advance,
Ashley Adams

Hey Ashley~ First of all i am very happy you understand this is a play piercing for a event, had you told me you planned on keeping it, i would have refused you. Yes, these piercings will look nice for a little while, but if you leave them in for a few days they will start to get irritated, reject, and you will be left not with a pretty set of rings, but with two rows of scars running up your back. Rarely worn for more than a week, corset piercings may be worn only until the event or activity they were performed for has ended. Temporary corset piercings are open wounds, and are subject to the same infection, cross contamination, and irritation risks as any other healing piercing or small wound. Scarring from the removal of temporary piercings is usually minimal or non-existent. There are also a few more questions for you, where do you want the corset? typical back, chest, side... and how many piercings do you want? the more you have the better it will look, i suggest at least 6. but thats in your hands. write me back or come into the shop anytime and we can talk more about this. i'm here everyday 4-8 and i hope to talk to you soon! Amy

I would like to get the piercing on my back. How many rings though, I am not certain. For the event I will be wearing a dress which I have yet to purchase, but I am specifically looking for a backless one. I won't be getting the piercing for 4 months or so, but I wanted to get all the information well in advance. Plus, I am already quite excited as this has been something I've wanted for a while. I have been browsing through pictures of different placings for corsets piercings and this is my favorite one so far: I do believe that one is 16 rings and I think I'd like to get something around that number. With that sort of estimate, what do you think I should be expecting cost wise?

cost wise is depending, i will try and cut you a deal, a single surface piercing costs 70 so for 16 of them... over a grand. lol and i doubt you would ever want to pay that much, however i am very intrested in doing another corset piercing and you seem like you really want this, so we'll see if we can get it around 200 or so! and the only ribbon i have here is black, so if you want a color to match your dress, bring your own in. about having 16 piercings... that depends on your pain tolerance and your dress too, your going to be fairly sore and having fabric rub against you all night is not going to help. so get the dress first and bring it in for me to see or just mark on your back where it is going to sit, and we'll get something that will look awesome against it! we also need to talk about what position you want your corset done in, weather you want it like a piramid or a hour glass. i don't really think the number of piercings you get is the issue, its what is going to look wicked, and if you are going to put the time and effort into doing this, i want to put my time and effort into making this a great experiance and making it look off the hook for your special occasion! we want you to be the center of attention and the bell of the ball! <3

Well I must admit, I am even more excited now! Around 200 would be excellent. I won't be getting the dress for another month or two, but I will get a hold of you again once I do. Thank you again for taking the time to answer my questions. I am feeling a lot more informed and comfortable with the whole thing and I'm really looking forward to it. Thank you again and I'll be talking to you soon

Hey Amy
I just got my tongue pierced a week ago today and was wondering if it is ok to change the ball on the barbell. Not the whole thing just the bar because the bottom ball is way too big for my mouth and just wondering if I could change it for a smaller one that I have here.

Crystal my suggestion to you is to come in and see me, i don't charge for changing jewellery. that way i can have a good look at your tounge and make sure that your other ball is clean and sterilized before it goes in your mouth. if you change it at home it will probibly be infront of your bathroom mirror, which isnt exactly a steril enviroment! generally you have to wait 6-8 weeks before changing, but if your very uncomfortable then i will change it for you. so come in to get it switched up. hope to talk to you soon Amy

I'm back (and with a few more questions). Still no luck on finding a dress, but over March break I am going to Halifax to look for one, so hopefully I'll have one when I get back. I've been talking to people on bmezine in an attempt to collect more information concerning corset piercings. I've had a few questions picking my curiosity so I was hoping maybe you would be able to answer them for me: -I understand that getting them pierced will be quite painful, but I am wondering about pain afterwards. How much discomfort would you estimate for the actual prom? As in, will it just be tender or will I be in agony the whole night? -How much in advance would I get this done? I've heard a few people say that they're corset piercings bruised quite badly after getting them done (however, this was someone who got it in their leg) and I don't really want a multicolored back the night of the prom. Thank you in advance!

Ashley Everyone has diffrent pain tolerance, so i can't estimate pain. you already know this is not going to tickle! i don't have to tell you that! as for comfort after the fact, you will be sore after but there are things you can do to help the pain, (ibuprophen, advil ect) but sitting down and any bend to your back is going to be tender. i suggest you come in the day of prom, that way you won't have to indure sleeping on or irratating the corset prior to your event, but if you don't have time, the day before will do. and if needed, you can call me when your prom is over (before you go out to prom party and get sloshed) and i will take them out for you. unless you want to keep them in for another day or so, that is up to you. you also bruise way easyer on your leg then your back, so bruising should be minimul. good luck with the dress too if you have any more questions i'm here to help! Hey, you recently pierced the bottom of my belly button, and I really love it (thank you), I was just wondering, is there something wrong with it, if it's causing me slightly excruciating pain? The top one appears to be slightly infected, but that could possibly be that I changed it from a barbell to a ring of which I had never put in before, ever. Should I go in and get it checked out, or just try and ignore it and use sea salt to help with healing a little better, and how often should I be doing this? If you could get back to me as soon as you can, that would be quite extraordinary of you. Thanks ever so, Jordan i

Hey Jordan so the top one is infected but i pierced the bottom? is the bottom infected too? are you useing johnsons baby wash or just sea salt soaks? what kind of ring did you use for the top? how much "excruciating pain" are you experiancing?, there are so many variables that can take place in infection and healing of a piercing, so your best bet would be to come in and see me at the shop, that way i can have a good look at your piercing and we can talk about all this fun stuff! so just come in anytime you have the chance, meanwhile don't touch your piercing at all!!! unless your cleaning it! in which case make sure your hands are super clean! See ya soon Amy
